Día Mundial de la Educación Ambiental
On January 26, World Environmental Education Day is celebrated. This celebration highlights the importance of caring for our environment, this commemoration is supported by the United Nations in the Stockholm Conference (Sweden) of 1972. With this activity, environmental activities and awareness of the protection of our planet begin, seeking Thus, the solution to the problem of the degradation of our natural resources at the hands of man, we must highlight that this conference also determines the celebration of the environment (June 5).
We congratulate our professional team from the PNM and Teachers who work hard with children and young people who are part of the My school is near the forest Program.
Did you know?
The Metropolitan Natural Park is a pioneer protected area in the topic of non-formal environmental education in the Republic of Panama for more than 30 years with the program “My school is in the Panama Canal Basin”, at the beginning of the 1990s. 90’s’. Later in 2005, restructuring was carried out to improve its efficiency and reinforce the academic topics given by the Ministry of Education; currently called “My School is near the forest”.
